Mrs. Hurd is an intervention specialist and school counselor. She has a bachelor's degree in special education from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in school counseling from the University of Dayton. Mrs. Hurd has experience teaching core subjects in eighth grade, tutoring seventh graders, working with emotionally disturbed students, and providing resource room support for junior high students. In 2012, she accepted a job as a school counselor and intervention specialist at what is now Pickerington Academy. Mrs. Hurd enjoys working with her colleagues and the diverse group of teenagers at the school.
